ReGen Replenish, the organic-approved liquid nutrient from ReGen Amenity, has delivered impressive early results in a recent independent turf trial, with treated areas showing a marked improvement in root development after just one application.

The study, conducted by Lagan Valley Scientific, set out to assess whether physiological differences could be observed in turf root systems treated with ReGen Replenish compared to untreated turf. The results showed that samples treated with ReGen Replenish developed significantly greater root mass than their untreated counterparts, with visible improvements recorded in the first and second months following application.
ReGen Replenish is a liquid formulation that’s rich in essential micronutrients, trace minerals, amino acids, and organic carbon. Designed to complement existing maintenance programs, it enhances microbial activity within the rootzone and supports recovery in depleted soils. The product is safe for year-round use and approved for organic systems, with a recommended use rate of 10L/Ha.
Root samples were first taken in October 2024, with subsequent analysis showing notable divergence between treated and untreated plots after the first application. A second application followed in November, accelerating the upward trend in root mass development. By February 2025, the fresh weight of root tissue in ReGen-treated samples was significantly higher (p < 0.001), with better overall integrity observed across core samples.
In December, the treated and untreated plots were impacted by an outbreak of Root Knot Nematodes, causing a general decline in root tissue. But by January, the ReGen-treated plots began to show early signs of recovery. By March 2025, in a period where turf growth is typically slow, the ReGen-treated area demonstrated a further increase in root mass, while the untreated area continued to decline.
“In a year that has been very challenging for turfgrass managers, we are over the moon with the positive customer feedback,” said Rhys Norville, director of ReGen Amenity. “This highlights the quality that is in ReGen Replenish and it helps turfgrass managers to deliver top quality playing surfaces.”
These results from controlled trials have also been echoed in real-world use. At Monmouthshire Golf Club, Head Greenkeeper Mark Simmons explained: “This year, we introduced ReGen Replenish into our biological program. This has noticeably enhanced resistance to abiotic stresses and contributed to a reduction in nitrogen applications. ReGen Replenish has provided us with great results and has now become an integral part of our programmes.”
With its role in promoting microbial function and delivering organic carbon alongside vital trace elements, ReGen Replenish helps replenish soils and improve turf response even in periods of low growth.
